Quality and Price Quality and price have a direct relationship with each other when dealing with any sort of optics. Laser rangefinders are no different with price going up with increases in quality. There is also a noticeable difference between the low quality and high quality, and with laser rangefinders you definitely get what you pay for. That is why it is important to buy the best laser rangefinder that you can afford so there are no regrets.
Rifle Rangefinders: Rangefinders designed specifically for rifle hunting are often of higher magnification than other hunting rangefinders. While many of these rangefinders designed for rifle hunting do a scan mode, many lack an angle compensation feature that is found on a lot of other hunting rangefinders. Some of these models are also of a flatter design and are held horizontally like binoculars, instead of vertically like a monocular. This enables the hunter to hold the unit steady easier for long range targeting.
So, if you are an avid bow hunter but do not yet own a laser rangefinder, then I challenge you to take my little test mentioned above and, I believe that if you will do so, you will find that you too can greatly benefit from owning a laser rangefinder. In addition, while there are numerous different makes and models of laser rangefinders on the market today, you should definitely take the time to search out the few models that are specifically designed for archers since they incorporate features such as "Clearshot" by Bushnell that are clearly designed to enhance the units usefulness to bow hunters.
